Christin Heinze studied Law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and Communications Engineering at Harz University of Applied Sciences. In 2007, she completed her Diploma in Media Informatics at Harz University of Applied Sciences and subsequently earned a Master’s degree (Master of Science) at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences (formerly FH Düsseldorf) with a focus on “Multimedia Systems and Applications.”
Alongside her freelance work in app and web design and development, she worked from 2012 to 2014 as a research associate at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, where she focused on mobile learning and contributed to the further development of an e-learning platform for use in introductory physics laboratory courses. During this time, she also taught web design and web programming as a lecturer at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences.
Since 2014, she has been a lecturer in Digital Publishing at the Folkwang University of the Arts in the Department of Design, with a particular focus on the Intermedia Design program. Her main areas of expertise include the conception, design and implementation of digital publications (e-books, websites and web applications, mobile apps, podcasts) as well as public relations for the department.
