Language & Design

The subject “Language and Design” teaches linguistic design in various styles, genres, forms, and media. The course promotes authorial competence in comprehension and expression, especially the reflection, conception, and design of contemporary narrative forms in storytelling techniques and dramaturgy.

Engagement with linguistic practice and theory includes an understanding of the poetics of language and the transfers between different media and visual arts in the complex relationship between word and image, such as in verbal imagery, visual storytelling, and visual essays.
