Digital Publishing
Even if you later specialize in creative design: because in order to realize your design idea, you need to understand the technical framework of the task. Which ideas can be implemented? And with how much effort? What needs to be considered for the mobile version? Who needs access to which data? And much more.
Websites, Apps and E-Books
In the field of “Digital Publishing” you will acquire your digital craft – whether as a web designer, graphic designer or illustrator. You will gain foundational and advanced knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript and get to know tools for website design like Figma, Framer or Webflow. With these, you can design and build professional websites and apps for yourself or for clients. And especially for creatives, your own website is indispensable as the central platform for your portfolio.
As part of the app design course, you will develop your own app – from user research to the design of the app icon.
Digital Reportages and Independent Publications
In the Master’s program, you will use your know-how for self-chosen topics: a podcast about founding a start-up, a scrollytelling documentary about a political initiative, an e-book about an art exhibition … You create a project that matters to you and make it visible through a digital publication. In doing so, you also practice digital storytelling and reportage techniques.
Individual and Diverse
We work in small learning groups of 5 to 15 students – and in very small groups especially in the Master’s program. This allows for individual goals and personal success. At the same time, participants inspire and support one another with their different questions, perspectives and approaches.
